Single / Twin
The Dockmate® Single and Twin offer a wireless extension of the above controls with the exact same feeling and response time!
You can flawlessly operate with the tips of your fingers:
- One or Two Engines
- Bow & Stern Thrusters
- Anchor winch or windlass
- Horn
TECHNICAL
All boats with electronic engine controls can be equipped with the Dockmate® system, regardless of the length or type of the boat. Our Single and Twin transmitters, preferably worn with the included neck strap, are completely waterproof and float. They are only the size of an iPhone and have a very simple, clear layout.
In our most simple configuration, the Single and Twin transmitters send a coded digital signal to the receiver which operates the engine(s) and horn. The system can be extended modularly to also control the bow thruster, stern thruster and windlass.
Operation is easy, accurate, safe and reliable, and can be done from any location aboard the boat. If the Single and Twin transmitters somehow slip out of your hands, then all systems immediately drop to neutral. There is also an automatic shut off after 30 minutes of non-use.
The Dockmate® signal reaches up to 150 feet (50 meters). The receiver is mounted behind the dashboard and measures about 8.75” x 8.75.” Each Dockmate® system is unique and will not be disturbed by any other Dockmate®.
We can connect Dockmate® to the engines in 3 different ways:
- Analog
- Digital, through sophisticated CAN bus technology.
- Directly onto the gearbox; in this case the Dockmate is connected directly to the gearbox’s solenoids through a specially developed interface.So we go completely around the ship’s CAN bus system, avoiding possible protocol incompatibility or issues. In this case the warranty on the engine will not be declared void by the manufacturer

The Dockmate® TWIST can now be connected to the Volvo Penta IPS system, thanks to our brand new Interface.
This Interface acts as an extra station in the system and doesn’t require any calibration. It allows the skipper to move around the boat while keeping his fingers on the fully proportional joystick, making docking easier & less stressful!
